WHAT IS HARASSMENT?
Harassment includes any unwelcome and inappropriate behaviour that may create a hostile, intimidating or offensive environment.
This may include, but is not limited to:
- Offensive comments
- Inappropriate gestures
- Non-consensual physical contact
- Bullying or intimidation
- unwanted sexual advances
OUR COMMITMENT:
- Respect – every member must respect the dignity and rights of others.
- Safety – we ensure a safe environment for all, free from harassment and discrimination.
- Support – we offer support to anyone who is a victim or witness of harassment.
WHAT TO DO IF YOU ARE A VICTIM OR WITNESS OF HARASSMENT:
- Don’t remain silent: talk to a person you trust.
- Report the incident: contact the Abuse, Violence and Discrimination Officer.
- Document: take note of all relevant details (dates, places, people involved).
- Ask for support: our Abuse, Violence and Discrimination Officer is available for any support including moral support and referral to external services if needed.
